You do not have to choose between treatment and comfort.

Most parents who call us are afraid that reaching out means giving up on their child. Calling Little Treasures is not giving up. Children enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP can continue curative treatments like chemotherapy while receiving the full comfort care and support of Little Treasures at the same time.

Calling starts a conversation, not a commitment. Our team will listen and help you understand what care could look like for your child and your family.

Curative treatment can continue

Under concurrent care provisions, eligible children enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP can receive curative treatments alongside the full comfort care and family support of Little Treasures.

Care comes to your child

Our team brings specialized medical care, therapies, and family support directly into your home so your child stays in a familiar, safe space and your family stays together.

Your whole family is supported

Little Treasures includes parents, siblings, and caregivers from the very beginning. Support starts with your child, but it doesn't end there.

Care comes to your child, wherever they feel most at home.

Little Treasures brings specialized pediatric care directly to the settings where children feel safest. Our team handles the clinical coordination so families can focus on what matters. When a child's needs require more intensive support, our inpatient units provide short-term specialized care close to home.

Private homes

Pediatric nurses, aides, social workers, therapists, and chaplains bring care visits, medical support, specialized equipment, and family guidance directly into your child's home.

Medical and residential facilities

Little Treasures can partner with hospitals, pediatric facilities, and residential care settings to add specialized comfort care and family support alongside existing medical teams.

Dedicated inpatient units

When a child's symptoms require more intensive clinical management, our dedicated inpatient units in Stuart and Fort Pierce provide short-term specialized care in a supported setting.

Your child has a whole team behind them. So do you.

Every Little Treasures patient is supported by an interdisciplinary team of specialists trained in pediatric care. The team meets regularly to review and adjust the plan of care together, staying aligned around a single question: what matters most for this child and family right now? When parents have questions at two in the morning, our team is there to answer.

When you sit with a family navigating something this hard, you realize they already have everything they need inside them. Our job is to make sure they are never doing it alone.

Types of care

The right type of care for where your family is right now.

Little Treasures serves families across the full spectrum of serious childhood illness. Whether your child is still receiving curative treatment or the focus has shifted entirely to comfort, our team can help you understand where you fit and what support is available.

01Palliative care

Symptom and comfort support at any stage, alongside existing treatment.

Palliative care can begin at the moment of diagnosis. It does not replace curative treatment. It adds pain management, emotional support, and family guidance alongside whatever your child is already receiving.

Children do not need to stop treatment or have a terminal prognosis to receive palliative support through Little Treasures.
02Concurrent care

Curative treatment continues while Little Treasures provides full comfort support.

Children and young adults under 21 enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP can receive full hospice comfort care while continuing curative treatments like chemotherapy. The two happen at the same time.

Our team can confirm eligibility and help coordinate Little Treasures care alongside your child's existing treatment team.
03Pediatric hospice care

When comfort, dignity, and family time become the primary focus.

When curative treatment is no longer the goal, Little Treasures shifts fully to comfort-focused care at home. The team manages pain and symptoms and works to ensure the child's time is spent with dignity and the people who matter most.

Choosing hospice care does not mean withdrawing love or hope. It means surrounding your child with every form of support available.
04Bereavement care

Long-term support for your whole family, every step of the way.

Little Treasures walks with your family from the first call forward. Grief counseling, sibling support groups, and bereavement care through the Thomas Counseling Center are available for as long as your family needs them.

Good Grief youth and teen groups are open to siblings of Little Treasures patients at no cost to the family.
